Location:

The mission of EcoTourism Belize (ETB) is connecting nature, wildlife and communities for a more sustainable world. Our primary objective is to be an exemplary model for sustainable tourism and development in the Toledo District by creating transformative experiences with nature and local communities. These experiences have been carefully designed to provide an authentic experience while minimizing our impact on the natural environment and reinvesting in conservation.

The Golden Stream River is located five (5) minutes away from our compound which provides a cool refreshing swim for interested and experienced swimmers. Wifi is available in the common resting area on site.

Services:

The services provided includes a late or early breakfast, packed meals, dinner after sunset and requested wine, beers and spirits upon reservation. Our aim is to provide a range of experiences through our meals catered especially capturing the dishes of the diverse cultures found in Belize. We also cater following all dietary restrictions.

Transportation services can be arranged and available from entrance to exit at the Philip Goldson International Airport and to daily tour sites. Our tour guides provide guests with the best birding experiences by going to farms in 10 of our buffering communities, in our Private Protected Area nature trails and surrounding unique landscapes in the area. We also take birders on the Golden Stream River (when adequate in the time of the year) in canoes where tour guides paddle canoes while guests get a unique relaxing experience of birding and nature.

Guestrooms:

Our accommodations offer an off the grid, Eco-friendly setting that is equipped with solar energy and provides one with the unique opportunity to minimize carbon footprint and contribute to carbon offsets. We have an open concept bunkhouse with bunk beds and 2 private rooms equipped with queen size beds. Our facilities give the opportunity to connect with nature and practice sustainability.

We have an open verandah looking into the forest from our composting latrine but we also have indoor plumbing restrooms. When needed a generator is used to provide the use of fans and lights which allow equipment to be charged. On site we also have our camping grounds with an option of staying on our elevated camping platform for night camping under the stars. Tents and tent pads are provided upon request.
