This Eco-Lodge style of accommodation is teeming with wildlife. Local birds include Ringed Kingfisher, Red-billed Tropicbird, Red-capped Manakin, Keel-billed Toucan, Brown Booby, Lineated Woodpecker, Squirrel Cuckoo, but also different Tanagers, Honeycreepers, Hummingbirds, and Antbirds. Raptors include more than 30 species, among them 15 species of Hawk, 8 species of Kite, King Vulture, Bat Falcon and many others. Boat excursions and guided tours into Bastimentos National Park are available on request. About a 30 minute boat ride brings you to the Zapatillas Islands that are generally considered the most beautiful islands of the Bocas del Toro Archipelago, where you can expect to see Tricolored Heron, Wilson’s Plover, Royal Tern, Green Kingfisher, Tropical Pewee, Masked Tityra, Mangrove Swallow, Rufous-tailed Hummingbird, as well as Panama Flycatcher, Magnolia and Yellow Warblers, both resident mangrove species. Seven gorgeous bungalows are built of natural materials on the beach and provide occupants with uninterrupted views of the sea and surrounding flora and fauna. Each Natural House is unique, and composes of a terrace, private tiled bathroom with hot water shower, good lighting powered by a 12 volt solar powered electrical system, and a Queen size bed with a custom made mosquito netting.They are elegantly furnished and absolutely private. Three delicious meals are served each day in an outdoor dining area. The bungalows are all open-air, sustainable and eco-friendly made of beautiful natural wood and kitted out with hammocks and balconies so you can soak up the sun, ocean views from there. No wall facing the water so a great view every morning. Shower/bathroom built around a tree, still very private but different from your usual hotel accommodations. It’s all designed to be family-style and very, very relaxing.
